Pet Memorial Ceremony
Baltimore Humane Society Pet Memorial Sunday Ceremony
September 8, 11am
On Sunday, September 8th at 11a.m., the Baltimore Humane Society Memorial Park will hold a free public memorial ceremony in observance of National Pet Memorial Day. The ceremony is for anyone who has experienced the loss of a beloved pet, no matter when or where the loss occurred. All our pets create lasting memories. Our pets are our family members. They’re our friends. They’re our special companions who, even when physically gone, stay alive forever in our memories — and our hearts. This ceremony will be an opportunity to remember and celebrate those loving bonds.
You do NOT need to have a pet buried at the Memorial Park or adopted from Baltimore Humane Society to attend.
Flower Ceremony – Your pets’ names are announced as you walk up to place a flower in their honor in our flower display.
Please bring a photo of your pet to put on display (preferably in a stand-up frame) during the ceremony and a flower to place in their honor.
This year we are asking participants to bring a photo of their pets to contribute to our Remembrance Display. We will keep the display lit with continuous LED candles until the end of October. Please bring photos that can be left with us, or address and stamp the back of the photo to be returned via post.
RSVP with the number of guests, and with the name of pets you’d like read aloud at the ceremony. RSVP to 410-833-8848 ext. 219 or email@example.com.
Friends and family are welcome.
Location: Baltimore Humane Society Memorial Park, 1601 Nicodemus Rd., Reisterstown
