Animal Care Technician- Part Time or Full Time

Ready for a job that is fast paced, physical and full of puppy breath? Consider a position working at our shelter! We are seeking hard working individuals that have a love for animals and a desire to help our community. The pay isn’t much, but the reward of finding animals new homes is priceless!

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: TBD (one weekend day required) 9 am - 5 pm

Salary: $15/hr

Requirements

Age 18+
Friendly and positive can-do attitude
Excellent customer service skills
Must have your own transportation
Be able to lift at least 25lbs
Be on your feet for up to eight hours
Be able to prioritize, multi task, and work independently
And of course, must love animals!
Any prior animal handling, sheltering, or customer service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

We are seeking hard working individuals that have a love for animals and a desire to help our community. The pay isn’t much, but the reward of finding animals new homes is priceless! We are seeking a full or part time, Animal Care Tech.

Animal Care Techs are responsible for daily cleaning and feeding, as well as handling and training/socialization of our animals. Physical labor involves cleaning kennels and cages, sweeping, mopping, laundry, and dishes. The position also requires assisting the public in choosing their new best friend, and educating them on animal care and welfare and the services that the Baltimore Humane Society provides.
