Change the World for Homeless Pets and Pets in Need Writing Contest

In partnership with Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office Animal Abuse Unit & Baltimore’s Child Magazine

Children ages 6-16 are invited to demonstrate their amazing originality and technical skill by use of prose, poems, and rap, to change the world for pets in need!

In 250 words or less children can express their feelings about how to help pets and possibly influence others to treat pets with kindness, tolerance and compassion.

Submissions can be made for the “Change the World For Homeless Pets and Pets in Need Writing Contest” online through this link or mail to: Baltimore Humane Society 1601 Nicodemus Road Reisterstown, Maryland 21136.

Deadline:  May 15, 2018

Please note that any contestant found to plagiarize or violate copyright will be disqualified. Work should be solely that of the student contestant. Child must have parental or guardian permission. No profanity will be accepted in a submission.

Winners will be announced in Baltimore’s Child Magazine July issue.

Prizes: Children will receive a certificate of participation.First prize winners in each category will receive a $50 prize  and an opportunity to read their entries at the announcement ceremony.
